Designed to meet the conflict’s unique needs and heightened demand, LUMITE Plastic Screen Cloth became popular during World War II. Because it wasn’t affected by humid, salty air, the screen was particularly useful in the South Pacific, where insect-borne diseases were prevalent. The screens were used in tents and huts and reduced the spread of deadly illnesses.
